I want to split in the first dvd-r the chapters 1,2,3,4,5
and in the second dvd-r the chapters 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14
If I use the "Strip vob id" option in Ifoedit I can't do it.
There is a trick to strip the cell [Cell 07] [V/C Id: 16/ 3]?
Thanks

I imagine that you want that Vob/Cell Id 16/3 (chapter 6) is included in your disc 2 and the Vob/Cell Id 16/1 (chapter 4) and 16/2 (chapter 5) is included in your disc 1.
I think Ifoedit can't do it, but...
Try this:
Include both Vob-Id's in IfoEdit.
In both disc 1 and 2, just include the Vob-Id 16

How?
Using ifoedit you can do this:
Make first a DVD with the vob-ids as follows:
Disc 1-a: Vob-ids 13 to 16
Disc 2-a: Vob-ids 17 to 22
Then, make a DVD with the vob-Ids as follows:
Disc 1-b: Vob-ids 13 to 15
Disc 2-b: Vob-Ids 16 to 22

You don't need disc 2-a and disc 1-b, just delete these folders.
You will use Disc 1-a and Disc 2-b.

You will get a DVD with chapters 4, 5, and 6 included in both disc 1 and 2. Maybe you can live with it and be happy, or:

Then for disc 1-a, just use Vob-Edit to demux by Cell-Ids. Delete the cell-id 16/3. Join Cell/Vob files again with vob-edit.
Finally replace these vob files created by Vob-Edit to the folder that contains the disc 1-a again. Remember to rename the vob-files to the same name that Ifoedit created initially. Use Ifoedit-->VobExtras, uncheck Strip Streams and Remux m2v boxes, just check strip vob-ids, then select all vob-ids and check Correct Ifo Tables.

For the disc 2-b, use Vob-Edit, Demux by Cell Ids. Delete the cell Ids 16/1 and 16/2 (Maybe renamed by ifoedit, not sure, but you must remove the 2 initial cell ids in the second disc). Join Cell/Vob files. You must check that the file remuxed by vob-edit starts at Cell Id 3. Replace the files in folder disc 2-b with this files made by Vob-Edit. Use Ifoedit-->VobExtras, uncheck Strip Streams and Remux m2v boxes, just check strip vob-ids, then select all vob-ids and check Correct Ifo Tables.

This could work...
If not try to uncheck "correct ifo tables" and see what happens...
I didn't test it, but it could work. I used Vob-Edit with IfoEdit to strip/transcode menu files sucessfully. (In movies like Shrek, Spiderman, Bossa Nova. Movies that contains menu files, VTS_xx_0.VOB, too big)

Good Luck

Richard

Thanks a lot Richard it's a good idea.
I'll try.
I have found an another way but it is very hard.
Using vobedit I changed cell id 16/1 e 16/2 into 15/2 e 15/3.
So I put in disc 1 vob ids 13,14,15
and in disc 2 vob ids 16,17,18,19,20,21,22
I works but your way is better.
Greetings.

Your solution was very good too!
Don't know if mine works.
BTW, Can you go directly to chapters 4 and 5 from the Scene Selection DVD Menu?
Because your ifo file doesn't mention that exist Vob Ids 15/2 and 15/3. Maybe if you begin from Chapter 3 or earlier your DVD player can play chapters 4 and 5. But I don't believe that you can jump directly to this chapters using the Scenes Selection Menu.
Maybe you can if you use IfoEdit after Vob-Edit thing, remuxing it again and adjusting VOBU pointers...
(Sorry, don't know if you kept the original menus)

Update:
I think you used VobEdit to change VOB/Cell IDs (16/1 and 16/2 to 15/2 and 15/3) in the ripped DVD, and then splitted onto 2 disc using IfoEdit. Right?
If you did this way, your player will jump to this chapters correctly.

>>Because your ifo file doesn't mention that exist Vob Ids 15/2 and 15/3

I have modified the ifo file in this way:

[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 13/ 1]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 13/ 2]
[Ch 03] [Pg 03] [Cell 03] [V/C Id: 14/ 1] (Angle 1)
[Cell 04] [V/C Id: 15/ 1] (Angle 2)
[Ch 04] [Pg 04] [Cell 05] [V/C Id: 15/ 2]
[Ch 05] [Pg 05] [Cell 06] [V/C Id: 15/ 3]
[Ch 06] [Pg 06] [Cell 07] [V/C Id: 16/ 3]
[Ch 07] [Pg 07] [Cell 08] [V/C Id: 17/ 1] (Angle 1)
[Cell 09] [V/C Id: 18/ 1] (Angle 2)

It works but I want to try your idea.
Greetings.

Sure your method works!
I didn't imagine that you could modify the ifo file in this way.

The real problem is not to modify the ifo file.
It's very simple.
The problem is to change the vob and cell id to the vob file.
I used an hex editor to modify it.
Greetings.
