fullcopy problem please help

I am trying to do a full backup of the bourne identity and have ruined 3 dvd+r's in the process. When i play the dvd backup the menu will start up and i can navigate through the actual menu but when it tries to goto a vob file it stops and then when i push play again it will start the movie. It will not play any extras in my set top player however it will play flawless on my computer.
The process that i use was this.

Did a smartrip backup of the movie.
Then i did a smart rip and pulled out the m2v of the movie.
Then ran throught the cce process.
Then i authored new vobs with infoedit.
removed the movie vobs and in there place i put the new vobs.
then i ran ifoupdate with standard settings
then i did a get vts sectors
thats when i tested the movie it worked fine on the computer.
when i burn the disks in nero 5.5.10.0 i get the error dvdivideo files compliance test failed. then i continue anyway
then i am stuck with the disk that i mentioned.
I have looked all over for a guide on the ifoupdate because it's all new to me and can't find one.
So if anyone knows where the get info other than the read me that comes with it that probubly could help.
but as for my main question what am i doing wrong, what step am i missing, or what program do i have to get to fix my problem.

One question: Have you successfully used Nero 5.5.10.0 with your burner and your standalone player? If not, then drop down to 5.5.9.17, which seems to be much more compatible in terms of burners and set-top players.

Also, how did you "get VTS sectors"? With IFOEdit or with IFOUpdate? After you've completed the whole disc with IFOUpdate, you might want to do a "get VTS sectors" with IFOEdit, just to be absolutely sure. When the main movie set works fine and the extras don't play correctly, that's often a sign of incorrect VTS Sectors.

Those are my only suggestions, as I've yet to see the Bourne Identity. Are you sure that the Bourne Identity is a single-PGC title, though?

I just did the Bourne Identity and it plays fine.
I did it this way.

Ripped all with DVD Decrypter.
Used DVD Decrypter to split the 2 PGC's of VOB_4 from the DVD into a different directory.
Used DVD2AVI to Demux both PGC's and create d2v.
Re-encoded both PGC's of VOB_4 to reduce by half
Authored with Scenerist
Copied and used IFOupdate to do everything.
Used DVD2AVI to Demux and create d2v of Vob_1 set
Used CCE to crush the video
Used Scenerist to creat new Vob's
Used IFOupdate(all in options checked except second section and bottom of third section.)
Re-intergrated into directory
Burned with RecordNow Max.

I never used IfoEdit on this one, except to test the re-intergration before burning.

The main movie Vob's are one PGC. I only did the Vob_4 because I wanted that extra 300mb's for my main movie.

If you still have all the original IFO and Bup files along with the authored ones from Maestro I would overwrite your new ones and try IfoUpdate again and make sure you have all the right options checked.

I would also try a different burning method as Nero is very unreliable.

On the "coaster" side, I would advice you to use ImgTools to build images of your authored DVD, then use DaemonTools to mount it to a virtual DVD player so you can easily full-test your DVD with a software player before you burn.
OK, sometimes it will work one the software player and not on a standalone, but I guess in your case it wouldn't work with the software player either.
Other way is of course to use DVD+RW (I think 3 DVD+R coasters would have paid for a DVD+RW).

@MarkRB ; I made my first coaster on DRU500a. Had a blue screen of death while using DVD2one and burning at the same time. See my thread in the DVD encoding forum about "what a crash" :D
