encoding a part of file

When I try to encode a range of frames in cce, the frame search feature is only showing about a quarter of the film, so I cannot find the frame where I want to end the encode.Am using avisynth file. Is cce limited to showing only a certain size in that feature?

Try using the latest version of GKnot to open your source and then let it write your AVISynth file for you. It has a button you can use to set a stop point. I think it's the Credits start here button with an option to encode the movie only. Then, it will save the .avs file.

You could even keep the .avs file you're using now, but copy the line used in the Gknot .avs file into your file.

I hope this makes sense. The way I explained it you'd have to have looked at GKnot a couple of times to see it clearly.
