when using virtual dub to capture and you click on video, how can you get your card to show up there? besides using the WDM wrappers a.k.a driver 0. I have a ATI Tv Wonder VE. Thanks!

Virtualdub supports only Video for Windows capture devices. The only solution is to install some VfW drivers. If you are in Windows 2K or XP, ATI do not have VfW capture drivers - only WDM. But you should be able to track down older Win9X drivers that are VfW compliant. This is what I did in order to use my ATI AIW 128 Pro. But using win9x drivers means that I have to run a separate win98 partition. Finally, note that the very latest win9x drivers are probably WDM as well. The drivers released with ATI MMC 6.x or so are VfW, the ones for MMC 7.x are WDM.

ahh gotcha, will using the wrappers reduce anything?

I'm not 100% sure since I've never used the wrapper. But generally it is held that the wrapper can be a bit buggy. And it probably is slightly slower as well...
