I got DVR 105. And I need utility software to format/erase RW media for packet writing. I ordered some softwares bundled, but there was no installation CD available at that time.

I could not find any program to format/erase DVD-RW. All the Pioneer web sites says it is on the installation CD, no download. They should be making fun of us by holding that small program.

Is there any place I can get the program or some kind soul upload it from their A05 install CD?

use dvddecrypter. go to iso writing mode (press w), then right click on the drive, select full format and you're done (well.. it takes a while to format..)

Thanks for all the replies. I'll try/verify those ideas.

For re-writing a DVD image, quick erase or quick reformat should work. I noticed Nero is doing qucik reformat before initial writing.

I'm still not sure if I can do packet writing, which is using the DVD-RW just like a floppy diskette. I want to use it to backup some PC files especilally for Norton Ghost.

Thanks again.
