i havve done about 6 dvd's but now every time i use rempeg to reduce the bitrate the machine or programe crashes any ideas?:confused:

have you tried to re- rip the DVD?
this might help.
also, please post some more details (movie you're ripping, etc)

the DVD is About a boy R2 iv reripped it but it nows says fram not supported when i run it in rempeg. ta for help

I havent done it with rempeg, but I have done it with CCE , no problems with unsuported frame rate , did you create a cffl file prior to trying rempeg , I know that you have done 6 dvds , but were they all with rempeg or were they straight ripps, if you forget to do the simple things it can make your life hell, it can be created in ifoedit within the tools section :devil:

i trie dit with CCE but it still crashed my machine. what i have done since i did my last dvd was upgrade from a 1800xp > 2000xp CPU and upgraded RAM from 256DDR>512DDR also installed norton system works and norton firwall/internet doctor thing. could this be the problem?

have you tried switching of the nortons utilities and run rempeg , also does rempeg crash instantly or does it fire up and crash during transcoding ? :confused:

iv tried turning every thing off in the system tray. it crashs during transcoding it tunrns the machine off!!

uninstall everything and then re-load

uninstall all the ripping software and run a defrag on you system and them re-install them again and try again

have you checked to see what size the m2v file that it creates is , I know that you can set up your system to switch off when finished , dont know if this applies to rempeg however

uninstalled all my dvd ripping and encoding software and reinstalled it still crashes. i removed my 256 ddr ram and it went to about 45% b4 it crashed.

it was a overheating problem that was creating the problem the heat sink was not properly on when i did the upgrade. thanks for your help
