<--- black dot?

can somebody tell me what does this black dot over my brief-icon mean? Everybody can see it on the first column to the right.
It's not explained anywhere, nor down the page where other brief-icons for postings are explained. I have seen others like mine.

I guess you are talking about the envelope icon? The black dot labels a thread were you made a posting ...

since I'm studying german I mix everything (envelope=der Brief)
it was strange not to see anybody else with that black dot but now I understand all.
