Temporalsoften bug [Archive]

Temporalsoften does not appear to be working properly in YV12 - it only filters chroma. Until I get it fixed, use it in YUY2 mode.

I'm using it for The Simpsons tv captures together with spatialsoften, warpsharp and xsharpen, and I didn't notice...:rolleyes:

But now that I know, I also know why I've been amazed that it didn't produce any filtering artefacts on luma anymore, lol

Oh, now I see you meant this bug applies to the new avisynth 2.5 beta only. I've been using the latest alpha from 18/01/03 up until now.

I just installed the new 2.5 beta and I DO see a big difference (and somehow I'm relieved to know that my eyes are trained enough to see it :))

The installer (downloaded from the alpha page) says:

"This will install avisynth 2.5.0 beta. Do you wish to continue?"

So I guess it is the first beta :)

Patience my friends - when I get the temporalsoften bug squished. Hopefully tomorrow (monday), but first I have to go watch the Super Bowl :D

(lets say, if Tampa Bay wins it'll be monday - if Oakland Raiders wins - tuesday ;)
