Full Dvd Backup With Ifoedit & Remux

Hi everyone,

Is there a detailed guide of how to backup a full DVD with bonus, chapters, etc... with ifoedit by remuxing the video with a m2v of smaller size (and smaller quality of course :( ).

I tried before but I had problem with chapters. I had audio, but the picture freezed. Maybe I was doing something wrong :(
I will try again (it takes lot of time!).

Hi All,

I'm not sure if this issue was finally resolved or not but the 'video skipping after remux' was a big problem a while ago. I recently tried to remux minority report R1 with TMPEGEnc and had loads of problems with video skipping until I used both I and P frames on 'force frame type'. (Using ifoedit to output a list of frame types) Unfortunately including B frames as well causes TMPEGEnc to hang due to the excessive file size...

I have used that with success many times.
