Analog video >to> my FireWire Input

Okay... I've got all this VHS footage of home video I want to convert. I have a FireWire Input and Pinnacle Studio 8 to capture/edit video, all I need is a device inbetween my VCR and my FireWire. I have seen/read about Dazzle's Hollywood Bridge that can do the job, but its like $300 freaking dollars!!! Thats way too much money...

WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE FOR AROUND $100 ?????

I have yet to find an analog to DV converter (which is what you're describing) for anywhere near that price. I personally bought the Canopus ADVC-100 ($229) to go from analog to DV. I used an analogue capture solution for a while, but using the Canopus I've been much happier with the ease of capture and (more importantly) the quality increase of the captured product.

However, if you were to forget the firewire aspect, you should easily be able to find an option to connect your VCR to your system. Perhaps an ATI video card with capture capabilities, for example.
