DVD-9 to fit a DVD-R - Using DVD2SVCD - Help Needed!

Alright guys, i have been using dvd2svcd for converting divx and dvds to svcd for a while-but recently got a dvd-r burner :) oh happy days! There are so many things im not sure on-was wondering if anybody could help me out!I got a copy of Oceans 11 original,it is 7.2 Gb but dont want to use DVD X Copy cause it wants to put it over 2 Disks-Which i good cause i keeps all the extras and that,but would rather i was on 1 if its possible.To all experts out there am i doign this right or have i fuct it right up!

(Using dvd2svcd - CCE 2.5)

1. Firstly i ripped the dvd 2 the HD, went to the "Frameserver Tab" set it to dvd
2. Went to the "Bitrate Tab" - seen a guide saying:
Max - 9000
Min - 1000
Avg - 3500
Then set the disk sizes to 3.2Gb all they way down,so that i could put all the extras on afterwards,the guide said the keep the movie around the 3gb mark to leave a little room as the disk will only hold 4.3Gb not actually 4.7Gb as it seems
After that i clicked go - i dont have a superfast computer,(PIII 1.8)good enough for svcds-but it says the .vaf file is gonna take 15hrs-have i mucked it up along the way?
If i have done it correctly (god damn miracle) can i then bang on the all the extras from the orignal dvd-9?
Should i convert the dvd usign the cvd template,but then i left with laods of space?
Could everybody leave their own method of rippin a dvd-9 to a dvd-r here so maybe we can find the "best possible" or "most efficent" solution?

Asking what is best is against the forum rules.

Have a look at the Doom9 guides and then just adjust it to use DVD2SVCD. It should be pretty straight forward.

Sometimes using DVD2SVCD for this is not your best option, especially when you are trying to keep the DVD as it is.
Look at Trilight's guide I use that method more then any other.

Cheers markrb, you always seem to be the only guy answering my posts you must be gettin pissed off with all these stupid posts!
Ok i read that forum you pointed me too,but there seems to be loads of different methods going around,are there any "tried & tested methods?" (excuse the judge jules catchphrase)
This is what i have done,can anybody point me in which direction to go next or to stop and start again?:

1. Firstly "Frameserver Tab" set it to dvd
2. Went to the "Bitrate Tab" - seen a guide saying:

(not sure if this is totally correct)
3. Changed cd size to 3200 so that i can (hopefully) bang the extras from the dvd onto the dvd-r at the end.
4. Clicked the "Audio Tab" do not convert audio - use source audio?read some where stick with the .ac3 file cause when i comes ot burning it automatically syncs the m2v and audio together???is this correct?
5. Clicked rip and convert movie using cce 2.50
This is far as i have got - the problem now is that it seems to be taking for ever-i dont have a fast computer,but when doing a 2 disk svcd from divx it takes say 6hrs all in at a 5pass vbr.
For this particular test i done a 4 pass vbr-should have really done 1 pass to test but its started now!
Anyway it going good up until cce opened the .vaf file says it will take 13hrs all in?how long with the actual movie take 30hrs????
I didnt want to convet a dvd 2 cvd cause whats the point?i really wanted a dvd9 to dvdr straight copy!any help on what im doing would be great-cheers guys
also seen a guy which said:
"Take the Pulldown.mpv file &
the only ac3 file & put them in DVDMaestro"
can i also bang in the rest of the dvd extras?if so how would i do this?
And just fuck myself up even more - why use Spruce-Up?
