ok i had a basic guide for maestro that i was using that i lost and it's not one on this site for dvd authoring, but i don't know what to do at this point.. i used premier and frameserved the avi file to cce that i took from my dv camcorder and have a mpeg 2 720 x 480 file. i finally got a software that would make a ac3 file from the original avi. i originally used premiere to extract a wav file but it was 600mb but i couldn't get besweet to make an ac3 out of it.. so i finally found something that worked oss media converter pro and extracted another wav but it was like 46mb this time and then the ac3 file was 8.6mb do these numbers sound right from a 2 gig avi file. i'm not sure on the avi file size b/c im at work typing this... so what do i basically need to do in maestro or even some other proggy to just take the video and audio of the dv tape and burn to dvdr compatible in all players. i don't need any chapters stills or anything. just for now all i want is audio and video that is in sync to be burned on a dvdr. later on i can learn all the fancy stuff. this is for some footage of an ex-gfriend baby that we had when we were together and i'm looking to get it done and over with so i ain't gotta speak to her anymore. sorry to repeat any threads if so but search wouldn't let me use the word dv b/c it's only 3 character..
