I recently tried to backup my copy of Bourne Identity and ran into a problem. I ripped the movie using DVD Decrypter. I stripped it using IfoEdit and only keeping necessary english audio and video. The movie was still too long to fit to 1 DVD+R. I created a .CFFL file with all of the VTS files and loaded into Rempeg. I created an M2V file and began encoding. After six long hours, the program froze at 99% encoded. Does anyone know why this happened? Also, can I continue the process with my .M2V file 99% encoded? I need to reload in IfoEdit and strip again so that my files fit to one disc.
Also, another question I have is should I be using another program other that Rempeg? Any suggestions. I had a similar problem with the movie "Signs" and Rempeg but was able to solve by using VobSplit and cutting out the credits making it small enough so that I didn't have to transcode and remux. "Bourne Identity" is to large of a movie to perform this little quick fix.
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
