I've just started backing up my DVD's and I'm only interested in the main movie. I've been following the appropriate guide thanks to Doom 9. The problem is that some movies are too big the fit on a DVD, even after I've stripped everything except the video and audio. Jay and Silent Bob (100 mins), for example, is too big to fit on a DVD. However Gone in Sixty Seconds (113 mins) will fit on a DVD. Can anyone help me?

you need to shrink the main movie video file.
there are various methods to do this , the easiest is to use an encoding tool called Rempeg 1.5.2 , check out this site

You can also read my thread on using ReMPEG2 as well as other utilities.
