I am reauthoring some DVDs using scenarist and even if the generated vobs work fine when reintegrated in the main DVD structure, the subtitles are always delayed
I use subrip to rip subtitles and it does not give me any information about the delay but if I use vobedit to demux subtitles, I end up with a file which has a delay.
So how can I use this value and delay the subtitles in Scenarist ?
Unless you guys have a solution to use either the SUP (vobedit) or SUB (DVD decrypter) files directly in Scenarist ?
Thanks

Is it possible that u r checking 1st in Subrip the subs before actually ripping them? If so u r missing the reset timecode button and your subs r surely off.
Either than that I don't see any reason why they r off. I use Subrip from beggining and never gave me an offset sub.

@odysseus: thanks
Could you please detail/explain what you are doing exactly with subrip ?
I have followed the guide and don't see what is wrong..
Unless I have missed something

You're both probably not setting your drop-frame correctly. Subs will be out of sync if you are not using drop-frame clips.

thanks for your answers but I am backing up PAL movies (I don't work very often with NTSC movies)
I was told that the drop frame feature is only valid for NTSC?
If so then how can I delay subs in scenarist ?

But everytime I want to set my project to Drop-frame , after that , scenarist doesn't allow me to import my SST file. He says that your subpictures down't match to project. In fact I should set my SST file to drop frame mode. But I don't know how.
Help me please
Tnx in advance

@sherlock. In the sst file that u can edit with notepad there is a line that says Dropframe no, change it to yes.
@emistral: have u checked the suggestion I gave u to an another thread about this problem? About subrip there is a detailed guide with pictures that take u step by step in the whole proccess.
