Audio Setting... advice needed

Read the basic guide but it was brief when it came to the Audio settings tab. I am encoding svcds and uses a bitrate of 192 most times. However, I would like to know which setting of the Output Mode should I use:

Stereo
Dual Channel
Joint Stereo
Mpeg 5.1
Could someone explain the differences of these and their advantages/disadvantages in using with svcds, and which one is mostly used.

The default is stereo and there it should stay unless you have a reason to change it and if you don't know then chances are you don't.
