I don't understand subtitle colors and palette!

Can anybody explain me how subtitles palettes work?
I have not found any information and explanation on subtitle palette.
Where do I change the colors? Before or after start conversion?
What does it means the input and output tabs?
etc.

Hi, you can change settings at subtitles tab/subtitle pallete while previewing one still and see what best suits your needs.
