aspi32.sys error

have a new dru50a drive been using mydvd to burn home videos and such using dvdxcopy to rip movies then burning with nero 5510 then started getting errors microsoft sent me to adaptecs site said "aspi32.sys" causing error checked aspi layer using 4.6 my dvd locks up won't burn is there a way i can burn a mpeg 2 file in nero so i can burn home movies any help would be greatly appreciated. using xp thanks keith :scared:

Try ASPI v.71.2 (http://download.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi_471a2.exe) for XP instead.
If that fails, try Force ASPI (http://www.clonecd.net/Force-Aspi.htm) and see what happens.
