Setting XVID options through Registry

Hi,

Is it safe to dump HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GNU\XviD to .reg files for later use?

Examples:
default.reg
1cd.reg
2cd.reg

Well, I'd like to know if the regkey names don't change between uManiac's, Nic's and Koepi's. But I can check that myself :rolleyes:

Just wanted to know if there are any good reasons for NOT using this method :stupid:

It will work, and I've not seen any differences in registry keys between builds except for when new features/options are added to VFW interface.
