"zigarettenautomat"... is there a fitting word in english?!? just an explanation: vending machine for cigaretts, widely spread in germany and austria...oh and there is no 'age verification system' built in, no wonder kids start smoking at an age of 10 around here... (:

Charging a cell phone: good idea (why buy an AC adapter and car adapter?) But smoking near a computer is a really bad idea. Sorry all you smokers, but it's true. Cigarette smoke coats fan blades and throws them off balance, causing premature failure. And we all know what happens to an Athlon when the fan stops.

i've been a smoker for quite a while before i stopped a few months ago so i know what i'm talking about!

i've always hated to do work in a room where people have been smoking, even though i was a quite heavy, though not chain, smoker. it just gives a bad air and takes away a lot of your concentration. apart from that if there's more people including non - smokers, i would have never smoked there, just because i think i don't have a right to harm other people with my actions.
anyway that cigarette smoke harms your computer has been a prooven fact and does not only apply to athlon computers :-P

oh forgot: the above mentioned never applies to bars and similar facilities. if you go in there and are a non smoker, it's your own decision anyway!

@mrafrohead i haven't tried bong smoke, but my steam roller smoke hasen't hurt either of my computers but i also clean out the fans every month:) I dont smoke ciggs so not sure if that would be any different or not. I do know my friend smokes ciggs and his fans are full of dust, and smoke resin.
