I created a DVD-R using the method in:

http://heaven.earthlights.net/dvd/guides/dvd_howtos_menu6.htm

which shows you how to copy out the main movie. The move plays fine in my panasonic dvd player, but not my Sylvania DVD-850c unit. This unit is supposed to play DVD-R as stated here:
http://www.buy.com/ugo/retail/electronics/product.asp?sku=90118537&loc=111

but it does not.

Perhaps it is the method I burn at? I use the Nero method to burn and use the DVD (ISO,UDF) as show in the first link above.

what to do?
Thanks for your help

Hello,

According to the list VCDHELP has, the Sylvania 850c cannot play DVD-R.
Check it out here. (http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=sylvania&Submit=Search&Search=Search)
Also checked out you link above were supposed to be stated that the Sylvania does play DVD-R.
However it states that it playes DVD Video but not that it supports DVD-R.
Hope this wel help.
Best regards,

Kenwood

Thanks for your response.
I was able to play a DVD-R disk that I created using Pinnacle Studio 8. Is this the same thing as a DVD-R?

Thanks
