SonyDRU500A and Buffer underrun

I was just reading up on this drive, and I noticed that it doesn't specifically say that the underrun protection applies to DVD Burning... does anyone have problems with underruns? Is it true it does not apply? Do you do other activities while you burn or just let it burn and not touch it?
