IFo DVD author / buffer underrun sub

Hi all,

I am using now ifo edit for some time and read a lot of info from this forum thanx all for the help I got hear in the meantime.

One problem I am faced with when I remux a movie (or reempeg) and want to put it together in Ifo edit v0.95 (with the author option). I got following problems:

1. or the subtitle selected is not added into the movie (read this earlier in the forum, but no answer yet)

2. I get half way an buffer underrun error and the subtitels stop here (no problems with audio or video just subtitles!)

What is causing this and how can I overcome this problem (problem seen in Murder by Numbers and Dragon Fly).

Hi,

I've had the same weird problem. IFOEdit seems sensitive to the order of user actions in author mode. Here's how it works for me:

Choose the files (movie, sound, sup, celltimes, target) from top to bottom. After all the files have been set, change the language of the audio tracks and sups. Press <Tab> after you have chosen each language.

If I change the language of the audio track before including the sup, I will get the error you described.

Another word on sups: Vobedit doesn't demux sups from VOBs which have more than one VOB-ID. Use VOBSub and SubToSup instead.

Did not work same problem buffer underrun

Option 2:

Worked for now (at least with the movie murdered by numbers) have to test more to see if this is the solution.

Fighter72,

I tried to remember the steps to successfully author a DVD, maybe I got something wrong, but I definitely managed to author a DVD by changing the order of steps in the dialog box. Just play around and hopefully it will work somehow.

sorry I mixed up error messages. The one I was referring to is

INTERNAL ERROR: additional data required but no free space in input buffer.

No Problem Dirk, Since I am using now VobSub and after that subtosup no problems with buffer under runs on the subtitles anymore.
