Hi all,

I need your help regarding an audio problem

I am trying to back up Miss congeniality
the VTS_1 title set which is the movie has 5 PGCs
So I used dvd decrypter to rip each PGC individually.
I set DVD decrypter in ISO moide then I enabled the streaming process and demux all
I reencoded the movie with CCE but did not touch the other PGCs
So after ripping all PGCs, I usually have for each PGC 1 AC3 file with 6 channels and another one with 2 channels (sometimes I have 2 files with 2 channels)
But there is one PGC (PGC3 which has only an AC3 file with 2 channels)
I reauthored the title set by recreating 5 PGCs, dropped the AC3 files rfipped by dvd decryptor, set the chapters in the main movie and press start to generate the vob files
Then I have the following errors

Error Number of channels are different between VTS_01_1 - 0x80 - Audio -(7) and VTS_01_1 - 0x83 - Audio -(2).
Error LFE channel are different between VTS_01_1 - 0x80 - Audio - and VTS_01_1 - 0x83 - Audio -.
Error Bit rate are different between "AC3 Audio "VTS_01_1 - 0x80 - Audio -""(384000) and "VTS_01_1 - 0x83 - Audio -"(192000).
Error The Audio Attribute(Language, coding mode and so on) in PGC<PGC_3>:Stream<0>:Title<Title_1> is different from The Reference PGC<misspgc1_d2v-vfapi-t-pgc>

I each of my PGC apart of 3, the first audio track is a 6ch follow by 1 or 2 other tracks with 2 channels
Only PGC 3 has one track (0x83) with 2 channels
How can I fix this problem ?
I have seen people talking about dummly audio tracks ?
is it what I have to do and if so how to create a dummy track ?

Thanks for your help

ok can you post how the orig pgcs have their audio tracks e.g
pgc1
0x80
0x82

pgc2
0x80
0x82
0x83

etc.
Use headAche(think it is on this site somewhere) very easy, post the orginal pgc audios as stated above and I can guide you to what dummy files you need and where to put them,oh and how to make them.
Basically all your pgcs must have the same audio tracks in the same order. If you've not re-encoded all your pgcs which have a time code e.g.00:03:23;03 these will go into the timecode 00:59:57;03 or similar I tend to leave just the pgcs with a straight 00:00:00;00 if these have a audio track they are NOT stills but slide shows, you need to put the dummy tracks here if needed but if you use still show you can't import audio.

You need to create dummy 0x83 for pgc's 1,2,4 and 5,sorry didn;t fully read your post.
Regarding headache once installed you will see the front end select the 0x83 file from pgc3 as source and place your pgc1 folder as destination(repeat this destination to pgc2,4 and 5 once you've done it to pgc1).
In the destination format select SOURCE

couple of boxes down you will see
start frame (which is 0)
end frame(which has alot of numbers)
take the end frame to between3-6,some files need it slightly bigger so just move 1 frame at a time if you encounter a prob til it work(box will come up daying completed if it stalls for more than 10 secs increase frame size by 1 as explained)once thats done select the other pgcs in your case 2,4 and 5 as your destination).
In scenariast import your 0x80,0x81,0x82 and your dummy 0x83 in all the pgcs except pgc3 where you have a real 0x83 file. Some times scenarist doesn't accept a genuine file simply run through headAche and select the same destination as the orig file is on,destination format as source(DO NOT reduce the end rate you want this file as it is) then press start this file always gets accepted, sems to be quirl with scenarist.
Hope this helps.

@zxsdef:

Thanks
Here are my PGC structure:
PGC1:
0x80 - 6ch 48khz
0x81 - 2ch 48khz
0x82 - 2ch 48khz

PGC2:
0x80 - 6ch 48khz
0x81 - 2ch 48khz

PGC3:
0x83 - 2ch 48khz

PGC4:
0x80 - 6ch 48khz
0x81 - 2ch 48khz

PGC5:
0x80 - 6ch 48khz
0x81 - 2ch 48khz
0x82 - 2ch 48khz

I tried to used beslice but it does not work at all
It generates a file with the extension _sliced but when I import this file in scenarist, I have an error (unsupported format)

Also I can not find HeadAche on Doom9 website
So I would appreciate if you could guide me and also tell me where to find Headache so that I can use it in the future

If I understand correctly what I read in the numerous posts and what you said, I must have the exact same number of audio tracks in each PGCs
Therefore the highest indexI have is 0x83 so :
- PCG1 should have its 3 audio tracks + a 4th dummy one which will be reference as 0x83 and is a dummy copy of PGC3 0x83
- PCG2 should have its 2 audio tracks + 2 dummy ones which will be reference as 0x82 and 0x83 (0x82 being a dummy track from PGC1 and 0x83 the dummy track from PGC3
- PGC 3 should have 3 dummy tracks (respectively 6ch , 2ch and 2ch) and the 4th one should be its own 0x83 track
- PCG4 should have its 2 audio tracks + 2 dummy ones which will be reference as 0x82 and 0x83 (0x82 being a dummy track from PGC1 and 0x83 the dummy track from PGC3
- PCG5 should have its 3 audio tracks + a 4th dummy one which will be reference as 0x83 and is a dummy copy of PGC3 0x83

Am I right ?

I am only stucked now in scenarist by the fact that I can not generate dummy files

Thanks for your help
