HELP: Multipass encoding using xvid and xmpeg

Whenever I try to to encode a movie in Xvid using multipass xmpeg crashes when 50%(i.e when beginning the 2nd pass) of the process is done

using 2nd pass ext.
xmpeg 4.5

XMPEG is a problematic app. Consider using a different tool or read this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30907) for a possible solution.

Hi
I would suggest autodub (www.dark-angel.does.it).
It is a very good all in one programs (for divx3/4/5, xvid) , using dvd2avi for d2v, BeSweet for audio and the powerfull combo VirtualDub/AviSynth for encoding.
Actually not compatible with latest release of xivd ( IIRC latest
xvid good was 271102 ???, found link on autodub page)
