Been reading the faqs, guides etc, still a little unsure as to the easies way todo make a replica of a DVD.
Yesterday my little brother destroyed yet another DVD  (MIB2), so im looking to fork out for a DVD writer and try and backup my stuff.
As I understand it, a direct 1-2-1 copy cant be done, a DVD needs to be ripped and then written back to DVD. Now, being that im new to all this, is this looking to change anytime soon (will 1 to 1 copies be possible)?
If not, will there be an DVDs released that can hold > 4.7gb of info and will exisiting writers be able to use these, if so, would 1-2-1 copies then be possible???
Finally, I have a pioneer DVD player, so im wanting a pionner writer. I see sony have released wone that can wrte both - and + discs, will pioneer be doing the same?
Right , hope I posted in the correct forum.
Cheers to all who can help, anyone who flames me for my 'newbiesness' shame on you :)
Regards
