I've been using DVD2SVCD for over a year now and suddenly I have the Smiling Face Icon at the start of my SVCD movie. I don't recall changing anything to cause this. Anyone know the fix?

somehow i doubt you've been using it for over a year :)
anywho, most people like to put their own pictures in place of that smiley face, usually a picture of a preview for the film

Onisama,
Thank you so much. I've been using the program "as is" except for the disk size and a few other options from the guide from back in December 2001 when I registered on this forum and have not been on the forum since because it has worked so well for over a year now.
I had been using VCD Imager under the CD Image tab and somehow it got changed to VCDXBuild maybe when I upgraded to 1.1.0 b1c but I had thought I had set all the options correctly and it had been working. I guess the default must have been VCDXBuild and I missed changing it somehow.
I don't know why I'm using VCD Imager but it works and I can't remember if VCDXBuild was even an option when I started using the program.

Would there be an advantage for me to change to VCDBuild when I only want to copy the movie and not do any of the fancy stuff?

All of my copies work flawlessly. I love this program and have donated twice to support it.

Guys lighten up on Bill. What does it matter if he has used it or not? He says he has and thats enough for me.

Bill please leave it alone and don't respond.

I didn't think I was "hard" on Bill, actually I thought I answered his question rather pleasently;)

Your answer was fine. This was what I was talking about.

Ahh. That was directed at bill's question concerning any differences between vcd imager and vcdxbuild. For what he is doing with vcdimager I don't think there is any difference in using one over the other.

Ahh, that explains it better. It came off in my eyes to be that you didn't believe his post about using DVD2SVCD for a year.

Onisama,
Thanks and I understood your answer. What I love about this program is that I don't have to understand all the technical stuff for it to work. It was my mistake in missing the CD Image Tab when I compared the options to the ones I had recorded before doing upgrades. I have done all the upgrades since 1.0.2 b14 and this was the first time I screwed it up.
I will double check it next time. This is a great forum.
