What audio codec [Archive]

what audio codecs are you guys using to encode divx/xvid. i currently use radium 1.263, what do you guys use (thats compatible with Virtualdub)?

Well no replies to this so I'll tell you mine.

I use LAME which comes with Besweet and on occasion vorbis which also comes with Besweet.

I always do the audio separately and mux it after in vdub or ogg mux.

There you go!

how do you use it within virtualdub?(i know how to encode the audio in virtualdub, but how for vbr?) and which binaries do you use?

It's not compatible with VirtualDub, but you can mux the VBR MP3 with NanDub, a modified version of VirtualDub.

Maybe there are more "modern" tools now but that works for me so I never looked. ;)
