I'm new to creating dvds and need help with my project. I hope this is the correct forum for this question.

I've made a slide show set to music with Premiere and exported the audio as 48khz to be dvd compliant and used the cce plugin for 2.66 to make the video m2v file. When I author in Maestro it seems fine on the computer (ifoedit play DVD) but hangs on the first pic on my standalone. If I FF it will play the next one for a sec and hang etc. Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it?

The sound is pobably not the culprit. When you say you used Premiere to make the sound dvd compliant I immediately begin to suspect that you've done the same in CCE, tho. Have you? Did you check that "dvd compliant" box in CCE? Well, it shouldn't be checked.

I also assume that you're familiar with the basic format requirements of a m2v stream as regards to system (PAL/NTSC), resolution, framerate, bitrate and such.

Does it play right when you test it in Maestro? Why use IfoEdit? You need cinemaster 2000 to get motion pictures in the Maestro preview, otherwise you'll only se the first picture in every chapter.

Cheers

Why should it not be checked? What's the "DVD Compliant" setting for, anyway?

dunno, but it's an old thing about cce that it shouldn't be.( Maybe it's been fixed in 2.66). Christ, there are enough of these exeptions to go around allready, but this is a wellknown one at that :)

cheers

The audio was done in the audio tab of premiere selecting 48000 for the audio. The original audio came for an mp3 converted to a wav.

Are you including audio in the CCE process? The video needs to be seperated from the audio in CCE (premeire easily lets you export a "video only" avi). Just a thought of one possible problem. Surpised it made it that far along in Maestro in the first place though???

I export the video and audio separately and it authored and played on my DVD player without a problem. Any ideas of the best settings for cce plugin 2.66 in premiere?
