Not sure where which forum to post into, but since I'm encoding in xvid... I was just wondering what FPS people usually got when encoding XVID without filters and with a few like convolution3d which slows down the FPS. If someone could post their processor and FPS when encoding, it would be appreciated. I just need something to compare mine too. When I encode on a 1.4 AMD T-Bird I get around 17-19fps, is that normal?

Same processor as you..same approximate speed. It's normal.

With my Athlon 1.3, I encoded movies at ~18 FPS
On my 2 GHz, it's about 19 :)
On a 4 GHz it will be realtime!!! :D

no B-frame, no QPel : ~24 fps,
with B-frame, no QPel : ~20 fps,
with B-frame, with Qpel : ~10 fps :(

Im encoding with Decomb and i get ~30fps (Yeah real time!!)
I tried with Smoothdeinterlace and got ~20 fps... (Yeah for Decomb!)
Without plugins, i got ~41 fps.. hummm interesting, but useless!

As usual, I'll close these "my penis grew to this size since i have this processor and process chain".
It's not helping anything.
