Can someone point me to a good link that would show the AC-3 file format? Or even better, possibly give me some advice...
I'm trying to build a method in backing up DVDs in which I can scan and entire VTS using DVD2AVI and then analyze the IFO so that I can rebuild it using cell/sector information. Everything works so far, except instances where one of the PGCs within the VTS does not have sound -- then DVD2AVI's .AC3 file's output is off (by the period of the dead PGC) for the remainder of the file.
What I'd like to do is either modify the internal time signature -- and/or insert blank AC3 packets that are equal to the missing period (I can get that length from the IFO file on the DVD) to correct DVD2AVI's AC3 output...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
