simple divx to vob

im trying to convert my divx, to vob...in order to play on my dvd player. i dont care about any menus or subtitles or anythin of that nature...i just want a dvd that will automatically play my movie. what program would i use for what i just described. because everything ive tried converts to mpg2 first.

you have to convert to mpeg2 first, then use a program to author it to VOB's

however, if your dvd player can play MPEG-2 Program streams in 'file mode' (MP3 mode), you can just burn the .mpg to a disc and watch it.
