Brightness changes in DIVX 5 ??

hello,

im not sure if this has been discussed in the forum or not (i couldnt find a thread discussing this..:(.. ). I have been downloading a few Divx5 videos and some of these video have weird brightness changes after scene changes ... sometimes it gets brighter and sometimes darker ... did anyone ever experience this ?
What is the cause of this problem ?

Yes, lots of times, particularly with older films.
