I made some personal subs for a dvd im trying to author. They were in SSA(v4) format, that i later converted to SON and about 300 Bitmaps (ts a short DVD) with the aid of MaestroSBT. However, when I try to import my SON file into the Subtitle track in Maestro I get this error:
"No corresponding subtitles found! The video asset timecode may not correspond to the timecode specified for the subtitles of the import file."

I have no real clue what that means. The M2V is 29.97 FPS, and the Subs were set up for that in MaestroSBT.

Here is my SON file opened up in notepad(no its not a txt file), to see whats inside:

st_format 2
Display_Start non_forced
TV_Type NTSC
Tape_Type NON_DROP
Pixel_Area (0 402)
Directory
Display_Area (0 2 719 404)
Contrast (15 15 15 0)

#
# Palette entries:
#
# 00 : RGB(255,255, 0)
# 01 : RGB( 8, 0, 0)
#

SP_NUMBER START END FILE_NAME
Display_Area (223 376 498 393)
Color (0 1 0 0)
0001 00:00:04:03 00:00:07:08 subs-1_0001.bmp
Display_Area (251 376 468 393)
0002 00:00:09:03 00:00:12:16 subs-1_0002.bmp
Display_Area (278 376 443 393)
0003 00:00:14:14 00:00:17:09 subs-1_0003.bmp
Display_Area (205 376 516 393)
0004 00:00:19:05 00:00:22:06 subs-1_0004.bmp

and it does that all the way to the bottom. Is that the right format? Or is my MaestroSBT totally screw it up? All the bitmaps are in the same directory as the SON file. But they are in a seperate folder then the rest of media assets (the m2v's and that). Since the sub folder does have alot of files. Just makes it easier for browsing. Any thoughts? help! >_<

Make sure your encoded video file has a time-index of zero - or else make your subtitle index the same as your video's.

I've had the same problem as you have! I simply solved it by placing the .son file in the same folder as your bitmaps! It's a bug in Maestro I think (no flame intended!) :)

benza - uhh.. the .son file is in the same folder as the bitmaps

slk001 - where would i go to check/edit what either of them is?

nevermind. im dumb. i found it. thanks for telling me what to focus in on. The problem was my video was for 1:00:29.0. And i kept doing the subs over and over again at 0:0:0:0. I adjusted the subs since it would be easier and everything is importing and syncing good. ^_^

good 4 u. I am confidend that by the time that u discovered how to solve the error, u came across to parts of Maestro that u hadn't seen before.

This is how knowledge advances. :)

By the way, instead of creating a new script, you could easily reset the timestamp in Maestro. In the timeline you see under the phrase "wall clock" the timestamp of the video. If you hover it with the mouse it says:"Video Timestamp Offset" Just click on it and reset the timestamp. After that, import the son file...
Very easy...
