Hya,

I have this english DVD wich comes whitout subtitles.
Now I downloaded the dutch subtitles on the net in .srt format.
Is there a way I can insert these subs in my dvd?
Note I just want the main movie on dvd with 1 audio track and 1 subtitle stream, no menu's or extras.
I also checked if it fits on a dvd-r and I don't need to reencode the movie.

I have used CCE and scenarist before to make a DVD to DVD-R conversion so I know the basics of these programs.

Thanks in advance!

Demux the vobs from your hd

Open the srt file and save it as Maestro son file

Import the video/audio/subs to Maestro and compile

U r done.

ps. u can change step 2 to sst file for Scenarist.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What program should I use to demux the audio and the video whitout losing quality?
I always used dvd2avi for demuxing the audio but then i don't get a video file.

Also the DVD I'm working with is a NTSC DVD.
Should I change some settings for the subs for that.

There was a guide here before subrip had .sst output but now the old guide is gone.
I slightly remember a few steps:
-1 convert the .srt to .ssa with subadjust
-2 use maestrosbt for converting from .ssa to .sst (don't remember the exact settings)

I guess only this time I should get MaestroSBT to generate the BMP files because that's a process I skipped since I just downloaded the sub and didn't use subrip for generating them.

you can demux with a few progs. Try Vobedit. Its pretty straight-forward to use.
