hi,
i got a dvd and i have used dvd2avi and created a d2v project, i load that project into gordian knot and after i have done auto crop etc etc, i go to save and encode and compressibility test i hit use and then now its ment to take like 5 mins or so yeah? but when i do it i just says finished instantly at the top and under the encoding tab on gordian knot there is like all these things saying cannot do or find this or something..
i am a bit of newbie lol any help appreciated

Did you install both the rip pack and the system pack? If not, you only have 1/2 of Gordian Knot.

I'm only guessing, but perhaps 1) you're missing the system pack, which includes the non-pro DivX codec, and 2) Gknot complained about a missing .log file, which would have been produced by the codec.

If you did install both packs, check to ensure that DivX is installed. Start VirtualDub, and look at the codecs under Video...Compression. DivX 5 should be in the list.

If DivX is installed properly, then either find the _Gknot.log from your compress test, copy and paste it here...or record the error message you got, and reproduce it here.
