View Full Version : IFOEdit: How to add intro before movie?

I've been using an IFOEdit-based method to shrink and re-author dual layer DVDs to DVD-R. This keeps just the main movie with a choice of audio & subtitle streams and sets the movie to start automatically after DVD-R is insterted in player. After some trial and error I got it working OK and I'm now wondering whether I can add a small intro video before the movie, so that I can "tag" my DVD-Rs. Is there any way to do such a thing in IFOEdit? If not, is there any DVD authoring program that would let me import the "IFOEdited" VOBs and IFOs and add the intro there, without messing with the rest of the content?

Cheers to all.

SupaCoopa-

If you're already authoring using IFOEdit, then what you want is simple.

You can add titlesets to the DVD in the authoring process. They just have to exist in two elementary streams instead of finished vob's.

If you want it to run before your movie, just make it the first titleset you load and then load your movie right after it and they will run in that order.

This gives you no menus or pause controlls, that would be outside the capabilities of IFOEdit's authoring tool.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

@ Denfussel,

Could you provide myself with a little more indepth explanation of how to do this. I have tried to use this method based on your explanation but end up with the intro soundtrack on the movie.

Thanks
