How do I use avisynth with CCESP?

I've tried the "Getting the best out of CCE" guide, and the syntax I'm using is:

LoadPlugin ("C:\PROGRA~1\AviSyn~1\plugins\mpeg2dec.dll")
mpeg2source ("C:\lotr\disc1\lotr1_d2v-vfapi.avi")
ResampleAudio(44100)

I then save it as a .avs file.

Everytime I try to open this file in CCESP I get a "Not an avi file" error.

What am I doing wrong?
