Hi
I don't know if you know this Gui
It's a programm based on mpeg2avi, besweet, and virtualdubmod

The outputformat is choosable between OGM or AVI
with AC3, OGG 5.1, MP3, OGG sound

Of course there is Gknot and many other GUI's but give it a try

If you have any questions about it, I will help you out

thanks shorty

"Anwendung läuft bereits" means that you has already started
the encoding process.
If not so, just restart the program.
You don't get popups from the divxauto40b, because DVD to Avi Gui starts them without a window. Sometims they wont quit by them lelf, because divxauto40b had a failure. But that doesn't matter.

Hi
Your Outputfolder name is wrong.
Just type E:\ and not E:\\

The dvd to avi gui does that unfortunately. When you choose a drive but not a path.:(

You also should delete a previous version of the
dvd to avi gui!! ( the whole directory )

You should also choose the vobfiles in the voblist by clicking on it.
(sorry for my poor english  )

Hi Shorty,

First of all thanks for your answer! But unfortunatly it didn't help. I've changed the // into / but notting happens. And because it is the first time i use your gui i do not have to delete any older versions. But mayby it would help if you can supply me with an older version. In that way i can see if it is the fault of the new version or the fault of my PC.

Greetz Raymongo.

ps. sorry for my bad english to ;)

Hi Raymongo

You should find here an older version
http://dvd.box.sk/index.php?pid=soft&prj=info&pol=&rid=6999

Did you also mark the vts_..vob in the voblist?
When you start the previous\crop do you ave an error like:
error: '-b' must be followd.... ? or nothing happends?

I hope you can solve the problem.

Hi Shorty,

Did you also mark the vts_..vob in the voblist?

Yes i did.

When you start the previous\crop do you ave an error like: error: '-b' must be followd.... ? or nothing happends?

Unfortunatly notthing happend. This also applies to version 1.23b witch i've tried. But when i click encode twice then i get a window saiying "dvd to avi is busy", this happens in both version. But if i wait a few second before clicking then notting happens. What do you think that could be wrong?

Hi

From what I can see, the program does not find the
exefiles. So you have to find them by your self . You have to click on the Bottom in the Toolbox, or you can also edit the exefile.lst.

good luck :(

Enventually i made a full film test.

1) Codec combo are outdated. Would be better to put the choose list in a ini files, so it will be edited when needed.

2) I must decheck and check codec setting or i'll get an error ( something about "nicht moden sectzen ..." not remember)

3) I must choose 2 pass setting after the end of first one, would be better to choose the 2( or npass) setting at start (would be saved in a reg format) ( this only appened when i disabled codec settings, btw i would have full controll on divx/xvid settings so i always disabled this check. Could you implement a codec choose and setting like GordianKnot ? Would be very usefull and friendly)

4) Must be introduced Nth pass profile

5) Would be extreme useful to see the size of choosen audio channel at given bitrate ( for a better choose)

6) Ratio panel is a good thing, but i prefer to choose first aspect ratio ( 16/9 or 4/3) and then a free % size ( ala vidomi)

7) m2apx3g.exe is very fast :D

EDIT 7.1 ) Please all error message in English !

my 2 cents

Thanks for you job !

Thank you for your work

I will implemet some of your recommendations in the
next version.
Must be introduced Nth pass profile

n-pass is unfortunately not possibel with mpeg2avi
you can read more of it here
px3 forum (http://www.rdsroot.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=9&sid=6e202d49ffed87e4e61e0808e021456d)

I also will support the new virtualdubmod in the near future

Hi

One more to add: to choose B-frames/GMC/Qpel in codec mask ( when choosing divx5), switch to VHQ/number of B-frames/threshold ... when choosing XivD.

EDIT : In ogg Audio is missing the possibilities to give a name to audio tracks
Thanks again

Thanks for your suggestions

I will do that , but I'm right now a bit
overworked, so you have to wait a little bit :(

So finally I made it

What's new in version 1.24c:
1: Aspect ratio ( 16/9 or 4/3) and then a free % size
2: You can add your own Codec in the codecfile.ini
3: Better DivX and Xvid support
4: 1-pass or 2-pass is now possible without the to Check the "Codec Settings"

What's new in version 1.24b:
1: VirtualDubMod 1.5.xx support
2: mpeg2avi px3 0.1.6d support

thanks again for your suggestions
