View Full Version : Can you encode SVCD with Gordian Knot?

I was wondering can you encode svcd's with gordian knot?. I'm not that informed really and couldn't find anything from searching everywhere, anything to do with this. Can I use Gordian Knot to do my svcd's or do I have to use like tmpgenc or dvd2svcd or something like that?

Gknot can be a part of the process, but it can't be used to do the encoding (you need an MPEG-2 encoder, like CCE or TMPGEnc). You can create AviSynth scripts that can then be used as input to an MPEG-2 encoder. In the "Save & Encode" pop-up window, merely select SVCD resizing in the upper left window. If your content was 16:9, the .avs script will include letterboxing.

There is no Gknot->SVCD guide that I'm aware of. You can use Doom9's SVCD via DVD2AVI guide for much of the process:
