Hi,I was kind of curious how well this protection is actually works, so I went to the tower records and bought one of those CD's
(Shakira's laundry service album),and indeed the damn thing just won't play on any of my drives(teac-512e,LGx16,actima-x52)
eac, nero, and clonecd are also failed here. Apparently this disc protected By the Sony's Key2Audio protection ver-2,so the black
marker trick is useless here (already tried that).
Edit: according to This (http://cdfreaks.com/document.php3?Doc=88&Page=11) page Yamaha CRW-F1 Burner can read those protected CD's
Like there is no protection at all!

A friend of mine has an old Plextor PX12 SCSI drive (with CD-caddy) that has so far been reading every protected Audio CD like there was no copy protection at all :)

LiteOn 52x burner can also read most protected audio cds. It only fails with Cactus 100 V3.
