Help with "SIGNS" Special Features

I am trying to do a backup of the SIGNS using TRILIGHT'S multi-PGC method. I having trouble shrinking the size of the special features. The special features are contained in two VOBS, totalling about 1.8 GBs. I would like to shrink it to little less than 1 GB. Each time I've reencoded, I was only able to reduce the entire size by about 200 MBs. I've played around using one pass and adjusting the Q factor without much luck. Can somebody please help me out. I haven't done Signs yet but I know the movie alone with too big to fit on a DVD-5. So now you are trying to shrink "Special Features". I just thought that your encoded movie and special feautures would've fit nicely. Again, I haven't done Signs yet but I do want a crack at the original menu navigations.

Based on your replies to the FORUM, you seem to quite a bit of experience with menu navigation. I have been having occasional problems when I split a dvd - 9 to two dvd-5's. This just recently happened again with the movie "SIGNS". I use DVDdecrypter to split the movie at the layer break point. After I do this, I end up with 80% of the main movie vobs plus the menu on dvd1 and the rest of the main movie vobs plus the menu and extras on the second disk.
The second disk always burns and runs on my APEX SA along with my computer rom dvd player. I believe this is because the main movie vobs along with all the other files are present on this disk. The problem occurs with the first disk. It usually burns without errors only about half the time. I usually get the "unexpected exception" error from NERO. It appears that somewhere in the video_ts.ifo file certain files are called out and NERO is looking for them. With the new version of NERO(5.5.10), you can still do the burn after you get the error message. I find in this instance, the newly burned dvd1 will play about half the time. The rest of the time, the dvd won't play in the SA or the computer rom player. I have a feeling this is because the video_ts.ifo file is looking for certain files it's not seeing on the dvd. This doesn't happen with second disk because all the files are essentially present.
Any thoughts on this?
