XviD to DVD with AC3 sound seperate

Hi.

I have a XviD movie.
What I want to do is this:

1.) Take out the sound of the movie. What application can extract the sound from a movie? (TMPGenc?)

2.) Then I want to encode the sound file into a .ac3 sound file. What application can do this? (AC3Machine?)

3.) Then I want to get the XviD file as the Video Source, and the .ac3 as the Sound Source and encode this into a DVD MPG2 file.
What application can supports .avi files as input Video and .ac3 as input Sound?


I've tried TMPGenc and AC3Machine, and it can pretty much do all except for the last step. TMPGenc doesn't look as though it supports .ac3 sound files as input source for Sound..


Can Anybody help me out?

Why do you want to encode an MP3 back to an AC3 file??? You would lose more quality just converting it to another format.

Why not just make an SVCD. That would be simpler and TMPEG could do all that for you.

I think you would have to convert the video into an MPEG2 first and then find some program that could combine the MPEG2 and the AC3 file into some format that your DVD player could playback. Maybe some of the DVD mastering software could do that, I've never used it since I don't have a DVD burner.
