help needed with bad company r2

I reauthored bad company using scenarist ,cce and ifoupdate

The lay-out of the main movie is quite simple

2 pgcs

pgc1: main movie
pgc2: black still

the problem I have is in the black still. After reauthoring and playing the dvd, it stops when playing the black still (you actually see it pause on for example powerdvd). After pressing the play button, it starts playing again.

I want to edit the ifo file so that it starts playing automatically, but I don't know what command I have to use and where.

I know for sure that it has something to do with the ifo ifoupdate create, because with the original ifo my reauthored dvd works (only the stream info is wrong ofcourse and I don't want to do that manually...)

I had the same problem when I did Bad Company (R1). To fix it I left the still out when I authored it and the movie then played fine without the still PGC pausing. I would think you could delete the playback of the still in IFO Edit dit but I didn't try that part.

how exactly did you do this? With ifoupdate etc? I tried it with only one pgc, but this doesn't work either

If your black comes after the end of the movie, here an option you can do

In your first pre-command in VTS_PGC_2, put a jump to your main menu. So when movie ends, you would get your main menu next.

This should work as you are bypassing the still play.

That's a good idea, but unfortunately this doesn't work as well.

The pgc doesn't have a pre command so I added one. STill the movie pauses.

I got the same problem as this, I thought it was because I imported PGC2 as a still menu in scenarist but it dont think it was.
lord of the rings disc 2, (extras) I have the same problem with.
I've re-authored many times trying to figure it out and never got anywhere but a black screen that pauses before anything else.

I encoded the main movie with CCE. Authored it using Scenarist with only one PGC. Ran an IFO Update with the original and the authored files. After that it played fine and did not have that still picture and pause before the movie started. I did not use IFO edit at all. I wish I had more information but it's been a few weeks since I did it.

I did what you said and in powerdvd it plays perfectly now. But in ifoedit and my settop player it still pauses. I'LL JUST KEEP IT LIKE THIS AND PRESS >>| i GUESS....

I didn't try it in my home dvd player since I did the backup for a friend and he hasn't said anything so I asume it worked. There may be a way in ifo edit to delete the playback or set the first play to start with the main movie but I am unsure of though.
