Hi!
Given a certain movie that does not require re-encoding (time offset: 00:59:59:00) with which I want two audio streams (both with 0ms delay) and two subpicture streams.
Here we go... Demux, Re-author with DVDmaestro and when I check it in the Real-time preview the audio and the video are in pefect sync.
However, after compiling it the audio comes a tiny bit late, which cannot be perceived only when skipping chapters and a water flow or scream from the previous chap lasts into the next one... I repeat: when watching the movie it is not noticable at all.
On the other hand Ifoedit makes the whole re-author perfectly. And on top of that it creates way smaller .IFO files. How Come?
So I came to the conclusion that Maestro makes the delay. sad but true. Tried Sync audio track, ignore embedded AC3 timestamp, everything... Still the same. With Ifoedit it's just perfect, but sometimes the authoring capabilities of the latter are not sufficient...
I havent tried Scenarist yet, but if someone would be so kind as to explain how to make a basic author (vid. stream, audio streams, chapters and subtitles without a menu) I'd appreciate it. The Scenarist guides on the Doom9 site concentrate on making menus, etc. and I couldn't figure out eg. how to import chapters, what to set to make streams, subs as initial ones, what to play first...
Thanks for any kind of constructive reply in advance.
