I am not sure where this belongs. So if it belongs in another forum please move it.

When reading Trilight's DVD full copy guide one big question came to mind, but I am sure more will in the future as I haven't tried it yet.
Why not re-encode the extra's as well or instead to reduce their size so maybe you don't need to reduce the size of the main movie or as least not as much.

I have two movies I am looking to re-encode. In both cases there is an extra that is at least 1gb in size. Now if I could reduce that to 300-400mb's in size that would give me that much more space for the main movie. In one case I wouldn't have to re-encode the main movie at all.

Is this more difficult to do? Would I just take the IFO associated with the extra and change that or would I have to adjust the main IFO as well?

Is there anyway someone could give me a quick how to for this or a pointer in the right direction?
I have no problems using CCE to reduce the size. My main problem is with the IFO's.

Thanks,
Mark

I find the best way to do extras is using Eyes` Only DIF4U tool on the extras .ifo file. Then re-encode them. Using scenarist, create the multiple pgc (If there is) vob set or use dvdmaestro if there's only one. Rename the vobs the same as the original and use ifoupdate to update the original .ifo file with your authored .ifo file. Has worked everytime.
