Capture Program that Support 48000khz audio

I use Adobe Premiere currently for capture, but it can be a b**** sometimes with DeviceControl (has a hard time seeking, will randomly stop, and drops unnecessary frames). The reason I continue to use it is b/c it's the only program I've found that captures 48000khz audio (everything else is 32000khz). I've tried DVIO, Ulead, AVI_IO, Windows Movie Maker(1 & 2). I believe SCLive supports it, but I don't wish to pay for it (I just use Scenalyzer 3.52 afterwards to create individual clips). Any suggestions for a new capture program?

Sure it's a software problem?

I can capture 48000 khz with DVIO on my box.

Well, I just tried again with DVIO and it did capture 48khz audio. I'm not sure what the heck the problem was, but I didn't change a thing with DVIO or the camcorder or the tape or anything else. I'll check those other programs again as well....maybe I was seeing things....ughh :confused:

I do use Sclive to capture DV type 2 avi to PC, but it only can capture 32khz audio. Ulead Media Studion Professional 6.5 can capture 48khz too.

I like sclive, does anyone know if it can capture 48khz audio or no? if yes, how can i do it?

Im using Pinnacle Studio 8 and can capt 48khz audio.
Easy of use.

I finally broke down and got ScenalyzerLive. Put simply, it's the best thing ever. Two mouse clicks and your entire tape is captured and scenes are made. If frames are dropped, simply recapture the scene (already captured scenes are unchecked). I wish I'd of registered long ago, well worth it!

Wrong, im using this appz to capture and it captures 48khz audio. Even if the ScLive mention (in Options/Audio Channels) that: DV Material can have two stereo audio-channels @ 32kHz/12bit.

Maybe its ur camcorder that does not support 32kHz ? :confused:

Something I discovered, if your camera is in an area of blank tape (blue screen on my Canon) before you start recording, it will record in 32khz audio. The tape must be positioned so the 48khz footage is the first thing the camera recognizes. This is true with scLive/DVIO. I still could not get Ulead to capture 48khz audio, but screw it. scLive is the best IMHO.

There's 32kHz/16Bit DV audio as well. In fact the sample precision (12 or 16 Bit) has nothing to do with the sampling rate (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz). Of course the camcorder must support the audio format you desire. My Canon MV3 for example supports 32kHz audio only, either 12 or 16 Bits precision.

how can you capture dv type 2 in 48khz in sclive? my camcoder support 48khz, cause I can capture the same dv from my camcoder in 48khz audio with Ulead Media Studio Professional 6.5 in type 1 dv. But noway with sclive and non configuration for it :-( I like Sclive for capturing dv. But anytime I want to convert the home video to cvd/scvd, I must resampleing the audio from 32khz to 44khz. The reason I would like to have 48khz audio is my dvd player can support 48khz audio in vcd/svcd/cvd, and I try to avoid the resampling of audio in the conversion process. I'll be very appreciated if someone can help me to use sclive to capture the dv type 2 with 48khz audio

Hum... cant really tell. I just selected (in options/audio channels) capture second channel when available. I use ScLive 2.0 Nov 15 2002, and i just ask for file properties from captured file and it showed me 48kHz. :confused:
