Seeing as how Spruce up wont run (yet, see previous post) thought I would try Maestro.

So I added an asset of an m2v and an ac3 put them into movie1 and hit the play triangle to check the sync only to get a message saying "Decoder Connection Not Established (0xc10d0001)" errr ??

If I check File Properties Decoder it lists Sigma Designs Hardware Decoder, overlay, surround Analogue, so where have I gone wrong.

Looks like a bit of a learning curve thanks for the Doom9 guide. Anyone know where I can read any more tutorials.

What software DVD player do you have installed? I'm assuming that you know that you require Ravisent Cinemaster 98/99/2000 installed in order for Maestro preview functionality to work?

Regrettably, the helpfile for Maestro is just as much a licensed piece of code as the program itself is, so I'm afraid it is not appropriate to request it here. I do realise that you didn't intend to infringe forum rules, so I'll say no more.

Regarding the decoder issue itself, though, please answer my questions in the opening paragraph above, and I'll do my best to get you up and running.

I have two players on the newly rebuilt system, one is the Intervideo WinDVD V2 or V3 the other is the Sigma Hollywood Plus card.

I had forgotten that I needed the Ravisent Cinemaster installed and do you know what I didnt back it up before I formatted the drive, ere we go lets see if I can find the disc or a download somewhere.... bet I cant. Always the same too much haste....

You are correct in your assumption on the forum rules I would not like to bring the group into disrepute or break the rules.

Thank you for your assistance.
