DVD2AVI frame by frame

Hi all!

Is frame by frame advances supported in DVD2AVI? I'm trying to bracket out a portion from the VOB to encode, but when I notice that the smallest unit of movement seemed to be the arrow direction key, which doesnt seem to be 'frame by frame', more like bunch of fives?

My only way would be doing cutting the portion out in VirtualDub, but then I have no idea how to also cut the specific corresponding audio section to match the video.

Any ideas?

cut the portion you want to encode fairly close in DVD2AVI. then do as you said in VDub (select the portion to encode). use BeSweet to select the range you want for the audio. then mux together.

Is there no solution to scroll frame by frame in DVD2AVI ? It would be very great. I also notice that when you choose to cut with > then ], in fact DVD2AVI cut on the preceding >, and you miss a few frames.

Any idea to solve this ?

If you have the audio loaded at the time then it cuts that too. For instance I keep the ac3 audio and load it into vdub, specifying Direct Stream Copy, then delete commercials before encoding the video and muxing the ac3.
