Scenarist GOP Error

I encoded Lord Of the Rings with CCE 2 pass VBR, but when I go to import the m2v I get this error.

Error : Number of fields (38) in GOP(# 2) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36.

Info 0 file(s) accepted, 1 file(s) rejected.

I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything on this.

Any Help will be appreciated.

Max number of frames per GOP with NTSC encoded MPEG2 material is 18 (which equates to 36 fields). So it sounds to me as though you have set your GOP parameters incorrectly in CCE.

I get the same kind of error using pal video. What are the settings for pal?

15 frames, 30 field maxi for pal.

Set it up with a max of 15 and scenarist still doesnt accept the file.

if you are using pulldown on your 15 frame gop that will increase your gop size by quite a bit ;)

Finally got it to work.

Used tmpgenc

gop settings in order from top to down

1 i
3 p
2 b
1
15 frames

I also tried to chang to 1 one line 4 to zero but that doesnt work with scenarist.
